Olympus has at least a patent with a 0.5X mount adapter, e.g. so the
effective FOV will be the same as 35mm. There is no indication that they
will market it, and it will of course reduce image quality, and it is not
clear how well the vignetting problem holds up. Nevertheless, if they do
release it, there's your low cost digital M-CL!
