HDR studio, but if you have another light-table type program, you don't
really need that.  I use LR instead.

When I scan, I use the multiple scan, HDR mode which scans once for shadows
and once for highlights and combines them for a raw file that includes all
of the information possible in the slide.

There is a manual for Silverfast that you can print out and it helps
considerably.
