On the other hand, avoid TomTom like the plague. That was my first try, and when returned to BestBuy, who were very helpful, they said that every Tom Tom sold eventually returns. As I understand it, the actual maps, which are software, are supplied by independant companies. You get what you pay for, so apparently, tomTom goes on the cheap. Bill Pearce
