Best, Bob ?Bob Adler Palo Alto, CA http://www.rgaphoto.com ________________________________ From: Richard Taylor <r.s.taylor at comcast.net> To: Leica Users Group <lug at leica-users.org> Sent: Mon, April 19, 2010 10:02:35 AM Subject: [Leica] Three From the Cape The clouds cleared briefly yesterday morning and we got a hint of the summer on Cape Cod in the clarity of the air, glints on the water, and strong sun.? http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/rtaylor/PICKS/CAPE_COD/P1010113.jpg.html or http://tinyurl.com/y64xgs8 http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/rtaylor/PICKS/CAPE_COD/P1010121.jpg.html or http://tinyurl.com/y3j7tx4 Both were taken with the GF-1 and 7-14mm zoom at 7mm.? This lens looks really good a this focal length and shows no tendency to vignette.? I added a bit of vignetting to the first picture in processing.? The first shot is uncropped; the second one slightly cropped.? You've seen this one-footed gull before.? He's quite tame but not quite tame enough to eat from a hand.? This was also taken at 7mm but is a tight (100%) crop from the center of the frame.? I was only about four feet from the gull.? I did not use any sharpening in processing the RAW file.? The clouds were back by this time and I increased contrast a bit to liven the shot.? http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/rtaylor/PICKS/CAPE_COD/P1010105.jpg.html or http://tinyurl.com/y52l6tv GF-1, 7-14 zoom at 7mm, ISO 100, f5.6 at 1/250th.? C&C always welcome.? Regards, Dick _______________________________________________ Leica Users Group. See http://leica-users.org/mailman/listinfo/lug for more information
