Returned, repaired cameras..... Source: You want ( demand) that your brand new camera be replaced due to a defect? What do you think they do with the camera you returned? Demo cameras.... Show cameras. Excess inventory. Hard to prove this, but even Leica needs, at times, to get rid of old and obsolete inventory...... I bought my WATE as a U Code...... paid 1/2 or less of new pricing...... But warranty is severely cut back.... 1 year on Bodies..... Dealers get offered these cameras and lenses all the time..... check with your favorite dealer...... They must be returned, defective cameras.
