Subject: [Leica] OT: Opinions on Leica R 100 F4 Macro Elmar 3-Cam

The version I once owned
was intended only for bellows use
(no focusing mount)

I don't believe it had nor earned an APO designation.

It had a lovely, slightly soft, glow type signature.
Not nearly as sharp and contrasty as the 60 and 100 elmarits.

I, of course, regret selling it.
While not delivering the fine detail I wanted at the time
it was a beautiful portrait lens.
