Hi Luggers,
I was out last night delivering my sold Nikkor 300 f4.5 and stopped in
at Fortress in Tsim Sha Tsui after completing the deal.
They had the E-P2 with the (1.4 million pixel) EVF and I tried it. It
is streets ahead
of the Pana EVF that I have on my GF 1 - like looking at a HD TV
rather than a grainy picture from the 1960's.
Unfortunately, the Oly EVF won't fit on the GF 1 (we tried)
so if you want or need the best EVF I have seen to date (and that
includes the viewfinder in the G1 - which is also very good)
you will have to buy the Olympus E-P2 with the 14 - 42mm kit lens.
Hopefully Panasonic will reply soon with a better viewfinder
for the GF 1.
Another factoid. The salesman said that most buyers of the E-P2 kit also
buy the pana 20mm f1.7. Now that I can understand!!
Cheers
Howard
