Not believed to be arson (the CFD and CPD Arson Squad spent the day there 
yesterday before the house was demolished and fenced off).

 

My guess is the cause is related to the renovations they had been doing. 
They recently put in a lift and remodeled their kitchen to accommodate the 
mother who was only able to get around in her wheelchair.

 

Homes here are heated with natural gas and some of us have NG stoves and 
clothes dryers. The local gas company arrived during the fire to turn the NG 
supply off as it too was burning.

 

Ironic.
