My prediction is that it's a hoax.

Amazing how much mileage he got from different forum though. May be he's
doing market research :-)

Yes, Cosina made the R-D1 for Epson, and look how much money they made on
that!

As long as there are boatload of used M8/M8.2 for $2000-$3000 (and Stefan
Daniels said they sold "a lot" of M8s...), that squeezes out the
possibilities of low cost competitor.
