Although the 24mm f/1.4 Nikor will appeal to people of a Leica LUG
mentality such as myself the 16-35mm f/4 VR will be the most used lens of
2010 and 2011 by shooters with Nikons. It is the lens which is taking over
and taking no prisoners.
The 18 - 35 or in its cropped version the 12 - 24 as been THE lens for a
couple of decades now superglue to your body.
The new Nikkor 14-24 full frame has captured the imagination of the new
nikon full frame crown and stands alone but I'm sure some of them have
figured out that its just not the same lens as what they've been using for
the past 20 years.. Its not a wide zoom but an ultrawide zoom.

The new 16-35mm f/4 VR will be the lens to beat.
A big of a monster though.
And the VR is a big part of it.
Virtual Reality
You can hand hold down now for a full minute.
The Virtual Reality feature stops everyone in your frame from moving during
the long exposure. But Dangerous in heavy traffic.
This also works closely with the Nano Nano coating.

Will be exiting to see both Canon's and Leica's response.
