It cost me $150 for Gerry @ Kindermann to adjust the infinity focus on my 180/2.8 because someone had used an inappropriate thread adhesive. The other suggestion I have is to use bees wax instead of a thread adhesive. It's not an adhesive but provides just enough friction so the screw doesn't back itself out.
