Frank,

Given my engineering background, Glashutte Original has remained my
favourite brand - it offers the best balance in terms of engineering,
quality, reliability and pricing. It is still underrated at present, as
reflected by the prices they fetch at auctions.

This will change very soon, as GO are aggressively opening more and more
boutiques in China.

Looking back, the GO Panograph we both purchased seems quite a bargain. It
now sells for double of what we paid.

I visited the GO factory in 2007, greeted by the CEO at the time Dr. Frank
Muller. He also went to Imperial College London to read engineering, like
you and I did. Great minds think alike! ;-)
