My very first of the internet was sometime in the late 80s, when I would
logged on to a university library to see if a particular book I wanted to
borrow was available or out on loan. This was before the WWW so it involved
typing obscure commands at the prompt but it worked. I always mention this
to my wife and children who think that the web has only been around in this
century.
