Hi Slobodan,

My first Volvo was a used 1980 244 V6, and it drove great, but the intake
system was hard to keep in adjustment. As it got older, I began to worry
about the expense of repairs on that complex V6 if something went wrong. My
wife selected a new 1989 740 wagon as a replacement, and we still have it,
along with a 2007 V70 wagon.

I took the 740 to the top of Rocky Mountain National Park, higher than I
ever ventured in many years of flying small airplanes. As long as I kept
the RPM up, it took the altitude with no complaint.
