Bob has a good set of ideas.... especially since these are probably all
SW/FW issues, and could be addressed easily, but charged for....

Lens selection... even if Stefan said it was impossible, or whatever.... I
still want it.
Auto exposure bracketing... Pretty trivial but requires FW changes......
Easier Exposure compensation setting.... Ditto FW.....
14 bit files  Not so sure, but it should be pretty possible... it may even
have been built in, then taken out/truncated  for some marketing reason.....

FW is expensive to write, and maybe Leica does or does not have the
expertise to do it.... but if they could charge a few hundred bucks for
these kinds of overall improvements, I think it could pay for itself.....
The algorithms are already written ( M9), all they need to do is recompile
the code with the M8 in mind.

And it would be easy to do.. pay a fee, download the code, install....  all
at home.....
