Doug,
I lived for several years on Anglesey, right across the Irish Sea from 
Wicklow. We couldn't get the Irish stations at all, just ITV, two channels 
of BBC and a Welsh TV station. In fact when it rained, which was much of the 
time, we had difficulty getting anything at all. But then Menai Bridge was 
hardly a communications hub.
