For daytime street shooting Leica's 50/2 or 50/2.8 lenses are hard to beat. Both lenses can be picked up relatively cheaply second hand right now while the number of M9's available is still pretty low (35m and wider lenses were in greater demand for the M8). Unless you absolutely need another stop or two I'd go for one of these lenses first.
