See the video about the M9 at Solms?

http://www.luminous-landscape.com/videos/m9-video.shtml

On the positive side, I now know how to take one apart and what to expect.

On the negative (disappointing) side, is the most skilled task that they
do to manually shim the sensor and to clean the sensor? You don't need
three years of fine-mechanic apprenticeship for that.

And why so much manual recording of data? Any modern plant would simply
scan the information and enter any other additional data by keyboard.

Don't get me wrong, I hope Leica sells truckloads of the M9 and gets
back into the black.
