Most non-pro zooms today are ~ f/3.5 or slower, and even pro zooms are only one stop faster.? Leica users tend to think of f/4 as glacial but that's because we're comparing to f/2, f/1.4 or even faster lenses. I have a friend who uses the Tri-Elmar almost exclusively with his and his fianc?e's M8s. ?He would whip out his Noctilux and 35mm Summilux-ASPH when the ?darkness arrives, but for most of the travel photography he does, he's like F4 and BE THERE.
