I have used both versions of the Tri-Elmar extensively on my M7s and think is the perfect travel lens. I am still trying to decide if I like and therefore have any use for the WATE. Looks doubtful. Just proving to be too wide even on the M8.2. Haven't used the Tri-Elmar much on the M8.2. First, I cannot figure out how to get the flange off so John Milich can mill out the coding holes. And, also, I've kind of fallen for the Nokton 35mm f/1.2 lens and it is difficult to remove it from the M8.2. Same can be same now for the new Nokton 50mm f/1.1 on the M7... But once my infatuation with speed dulls and I am forced to come up with a light travel kit, I'm sure I'll return happily to the Tri-Eimar. Still, the best single lens ever made for the M mount IMHO.
