Subject: [Leica] OT Alaskan Black Cod

I regard this list as the fount of all knowledge, so I have turned  
here for help. I have been given a recipe book by the Alaskan Tourist  
people which features, amongst others, recipes for Alaskan Black Cod.  
Is there any difference between that and ordinary cod to anyone other  
than an Alaskan fisherman (or Sarah Palin)?
