Contrast this with Phil Forrest's experience in the Gulf War with his
M4--through sandstorms, dropped once into the Mediterranean, fixed with
available tools en route--and it was the only one of his cameras that kept
working under those conditions.

Stateside, Sherry Krauter did a full overhaul for him, and it works like
new.  I would venture a guess that the overhaul was well less than $1000.

So no more M8's for the rain. I'd buy a water proof digital.
