Subject: [Leica] Mark Book Pro

I'm needing to replace my PowerBook G4 12" G4 1.5 GHz L2 Cache 512 KB,
Memory 1.25 GB with a Macbook Pro. The screen is getting grayer and grayer.
Like now.

I'm going to walk from the Soho Store to the Meatmarket store today and
place my order tonight or tomorrow. It's a half hour walk.

I get to upgrade my CS3 suite to CS4
My Microsoft office to the newest.
Filemaker
Tec tools

Any thoughts on what I need on configuration as a photographer and guy named
Mark Rabiner??
Do I really need a faster thing or is the slower ones just fine?
I looked at test results it looks like I'm paying 400 bucks for one percent
better speed on those speed options.
I can upgrade those later it seems like. Next year when its twice as fast
for half as much.
The hard disk would not seem to need to be that big. I always have one on
the side anyway.? And right now I only have 80 gigs. The smallest one is 3
times that if not 4.

>From what I'm used to with this thing a Macbook non pro would knock me right
out of my seat it would seem. And those are being phased out it looks like.
Right now I cant even look at my 5 star pix in Bridge.
I hit the button it says "are you crazy I'm just not in the mood!"

Would a 15 inch screen be better than a 13 for any non obvious reason?

Reply off list if you think you might be saying stuff which is really
inscrutable, unpleasant or boring to the Leica loving public.

My budget, software included is 2400 US dollars
In un marked un sequenced bills.

I think each digital camera body in the future will come with its own
dedicated mini laptop with 6x9 inch screen which can wirelessly control it.
This is my lame excuse for posting this here.
That and I have no way to turn. You guys are my only friends. I have no
life.
