We get our eggs from a woman who raises chickens about ten miles from town.
She doesn't advertise, we have to save our egg cartons for her, she brings
us two dozen every Friday, and the eggs vary in shell color and size. We
pay her three dollars a week.
The chickens eat bugs and scratch around outside in the sunlight, and the
egg shells are quite hard to crack as they seem to have a good amount of
calcium. The yolks are golden in color, and sit proud in the pan. Oh yes,
they taste wonderful.
It is a terrible business model.
