It's what Photoshop should have been if the artists, illustrators, designers, painters etc. have not hijacked Photoshop :-) You can dodge and burn to your heart's content with LR too, and a lot more. Things that I wish LR have? Perspective fixing (it does have crop and straighten), and I still bring things into Photoshop if I need layer work.
