Subject: [Leica] Apparent distance of Leica M range finder?

Someone on the LUG must know this. :)

I have a bit of a trivia question. What is the apparent distance that  
the human eye perceive the M rangefinder patch focuses at? The patch  
always seems to be in focus so I am curious what is the apparent  
distance the rangefinder would be.
