It was just before Christmas and I really fell in love with the city, the people, the mystique of the Catalan language and culture and the great food. f)O was a recent Army Language Schoo graduate - Farsi...). I remember my first ever Paella at a place called Las Caracoles (mayber "Los", not "Las" - don't know the gender of snails...). Several rolls of Agfa B&W shot through a Honeywell/Pentax SLR (remember them?) of Gaudi's stuff, especially the never-finished/ always under construction cathedral, and an old woman clad in black schlepping two enormous shopping bags by the Pasaje San Juan. And always the old men throwing dice and shouting, "Gats!! (Gatos)"... Seems like yesterday. Thank you for re-kindling those good memories.
