Optically the Summarit is quite nice, but no AA Summicron.
Ergonomically, it doesn't focus as close, and that is the deal
breaker for me. With the floating elements the Summicron is very good
in the close up range, and as mentioned before, is fully competitive
with the 90 macro Elmar without the goggles for close-ups.

Used Summicrons are available for not a large amount more than the
Summarit new, which right now is very hard to find used. M8 coding is
irrelevant on this focal length, except for exif data.

BTW, the 65 Elmar doesn't focus to infinity on the Viso I, only on
the II and III. You need the 16464, which also handles the Hektor and
Elmar (both with adapter) and the Tele-Elmar 135 lenses, the f/2.8
90mm lenses except the last, and all focus to infinity on the Viso II
and III. The bellows II can also be used, and a common adapter ring
for all those lenses can be used, and all those lenses focus to
infinity.

So, to use the 65mm/3.5 (chrome or black), 135/4 Tele-Elmar and
90/2.8 Elmarit (not Elmarit-M) you need a 16464 focussing mount. For
closer focussing, you need 16471 extension tubes (practical up to
about 2).

For the 135/4.5 Hektor and 135/4 Elmar you need the 16472 adapter and
the 16464 focussing mount. Same extension tubes.

For mounting on the Bellows II, you need the 16558 adapter, and the
same adapter 16472 as above if you want to use the 135 Hektor or
Elmar.
