Frank,

It may be awkward, but not that bad.  I use my Elmarit-R 2.8/28 with an 
adapter on my Oly E-510, and it works ok in aperture-priority mode.  If I 
want to focus wide open, I then have to manually stop it down, but you can 
get used to it.
