I think the major issue, and why I answered as I did...... If you are at all concerned about the lens, andthat concern "prevents you", "makes you hesitate", or otherwise worded, AT ALL from using the lens, get rid of it. Got get something you trust. It is your business, your income, and your experience that you are protecting.......it is NOT about the repair money at all...... Get a 35 ASPH Lux and never look back...... or a 35 pre-ASPH Lux and enjoy the Bokeh.......for 1/3 of a stop, why hesitate? Frank Filippone red735i at earthlink.net Sell it on Ebay and buy another for your use...... Or go buy a Leica lens.... or was this something extra special? ( 35 F1.2 or whatever?) Frank Filippone red735i at earthlink.net . I'm just concerned that this may be an ongoing expense with this lens. If not, and it was a manufacturing problem, I would think it should have been covered; but, I don't want to use this lens extensively and find out that it has to be reworked every six months.
