Doug,

I haven't tried the 2x APO on the 280.4 yet, as I've been waiting to  
buy one at a good price. I have used the 1.4x APO on the 280/4 and  
that's fine - not much different to the 280/4 alone. I have used the  
older 2x Extender R and that wasn't so good (not surprising).
