This was 640 ISO at 1/30 f/1.4. Not extreme dark like a starlight shot, for example. More wide open examples, many around 640 ISO but some down to about 1/11th at 2500 ISO : ISO 2500 in mixed stage lighting http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/gh/a/usa/f/SM25.jpg.html <http://www.pbase.com/hoppyman/image/92939174> http://www.pbase.com/hoppyman/image/95798661 http://www.pbase.com/hoppyman/image/99105609 http://www.pbase.com/hoppyman/image/101824428 http://www.pbase.com/hoppyman/image/101824434 400 ISO film http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/gh/a/1/a24.jpg.html http://www.pbase.com/hoppyman/image/92939174 I was mainly trying to add a practical (and Leica) example to a theoretical discussion. I regard this as a very fine lens. By the way, the new Nocti shares a whole optical cell out of this one. 2009/2/10 Seth Rosner <sethrosner@nycap.rr.com> > Geoff, are you SERIOUS? night shot?
