Good on you, Steve; as for me, I can use all the cachet and especially all
the mystique I can get. A lady of my acquaintance has said to me straight
out, with a little more mystique and a lot more cachet, I'd be in the game.
Quite naturally and with aplomb and dignity flying, I informed herself that
I had no wish to play in her game.

Ceci dit, I am on the verge of acquiring my first digital camera, an M8.2.
Actually, it will not be my first digital; at the first LHSA annual meeting
I attended in Boston 8 or 9 years ago, at the Saturday night banquet I won
the door prize, a Leica Digilux or whatever they called it. Monday morning
Rich Pinto called and said he had promised two good customers a Digilux but
had only one and could he buy my camera, so it went away before I could get
it out of the box.

Now Lluis' problem has become mine: black or silver. Despite the fact that
most of my M lenses are silver, my user M6 is black, in fact it is
all-black, including a black 'Leica' dot - don't ask how I did that!. I've
even thought of having my two most frequently used lenses, the 35/2,8
Summaron and 50/2 Rigid Summicron blackened in Japan by Tom A.'s good
friend, Shintaro Yaghinuma.

P.S. Does anyone know if the black M8.2's are black paint or black chrome?

Seth
