Subject: [Leica] Re: Monster High-tech 50mm 1.4 from Sigma and everyone else now China

The Thailand factory also makes the D60 and the kit zoom lenses like  
the 18-200mm (mine was made in Japan, my son's was made in Thailand)  
and the 18-55mm. I read somewhere that Nikon was either closing their  
Thailand plant or laying off a lot of workers. I don't know why. I  
don't think it's because of slow sales.
