Black paint is attractive but black chrome doesn't suit me. I went for a M8.2 and the choice was difficult; in the end I went for chrome - heck the "vulcanite"-chrome combo was so like the M3. I know many will argue black is better for your street photography but my guess is that chrome hasn't been a problem for you up to now. I have to suggest go with your own instincts; when you pick up the new M8 do you hesitate and feel some unease? If so, you know what you have to do.
