When my screen cracked
it took a direct hit to an immovable metal object;
specifically swinging into a car latch on the door frame.

While I like to think
I take care of my gear
I do not baby the stuff.
The crack has not enlarged
during daily carrying;
in and out of bags, etc.

I think that the likelihood of
another mfg's screen cracking
under the circumstances
is fairly high.

But who knows?
