I have two lenses that are coded (the 24mm and 35mm) and two that are not (50mm and 90mm). In the beginning (that is, during the first week) I religiously observed the above admonition when changing lenses, but that got to be old pretty quickly. So since then I have simply left the lens detection in the ON+UV/IR setting at all times. So far I have not seen any ill effects of using my uncoded lenses with that setting (all my lenses do have the UV/IR filters). So, just curious: has any M8 owner experienced any such "malfunction" referred to in the manual?
