Logic, marketing, and cost do not always equate.....

Tooling for  a new lens mount is probably not that big a deal.... and AF
would pretty much require it.   We need to accept that, in most likelihood.

BUT... compatibility is a totally different deal, and a lens mount adapter (
no funny stuff like focus shift lenses, teleconverter multipliers, etc.)
would be, in all extant R users, a #1 requirement.

Second- Don't you think it would cost Leica a fortune to 'Tool up' for  
the prodyction of a line of fixed focal length lenses, making them not  
thst much cheaper?
