I've had good luck for scanning and traditional printing with PyroCat.  
It has nicely controlled highlights and makes for easy printing, great 
skin tones, too.  You're likely to find a true Tri-X speed of 240-320 
with it, depending on your equipment and the look that you like.  For 
full speed from the Tri-X, you can't go wrong with Kodak's Xtol as a 
starting point.  I know you specified Tri-X but you may wish to also 
pick up a few rolls of the TMY-2, new version of T-Max 400.  I hadn't 
been a big fan of the original but a little time spent with this new 
version and Xtol has got me thinking that it's a great combination.
