Richard -

I just went for my annual physical yesterday and the doctor cautioned
me to be sure to always walk with my feet pointed straight. He said
my 5 year old bionic knees would last much longer if I pointed my
feet straight than if I walked with them pointed inward or outward. I
have tried to watch this when I'm walking on the treadmill at YMCA,
but it's harder to remember when just walking normally. At least at
the Y, I am walking in front of a mirror and can check the position
of my feet. That can really be a revelation! I tend to walk
duck-footed but if I remember to straighten out my feet, my knees are
fantastic. Watch those feet!!
