Undoubtedly Leica will optimize their firmware for their lenses and as
they know their firmware better than their competitors they will have
an advantage in matching lens to camera; that is reasonable. But a
firmware update would offer many users a useful service without
imposing any major impediment on those who do not wish to fiddle with
that option in the menu.

Post processing could be good - someting like DxO?
