Subject: [Leica] can lousy photography provide a powerful document?

I think what some of you need to remember is .. The photographer, I mean the
professional being paid to shoot what the client wants is the most important
person of all. I'd bet a $100 bucks every professional has shot material the
client thinks is pure magic and the bottom line is.... whether many of you
agree or not, getting paid is what some of us do for our income. And that is
important.

Now we may not have wet pants with excitement over the so called quality
simply because the "art director" or whomever is calling the shot! So we
shoot what they call even though we may not think it's the cat's meow!

So can lousy photography provide a powerful document?

You bet your sweet bippy in the right hands of the right advertising
corporation and some brilliant art directors using the material in a manner
the photographer ever thought of.

But that's life! Bottom line?.. We get paid and sometimes that's all that
matters.

It looks like quite good photography to me. It all depends on how you define

'lousy' and 'good' and suchlike words. If the picture conveys the

photographer's intentions, it's a successful picture. That, of course,

doesn't imply that any viewer will actually like it. For further details,
