It is the only example of this lens so far in Australia at least and I haven't seen it elsewhere on this list or others yet. Owing to price peculiarities, you can actually buy the Elmarit for the same money here right now, but although it is normally much more expensive. However the Elmar has some features that I prefer over the other (magnificent) lens. I got my M7 back so it will be fun to shoot on that too. Cheers Geoff http://www.pbase.com/hoppyman/e http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/gh/ Pick up your camera and make the best photo you can. -----Original Message----- From: lug-bounces+hoppyman=bigpond.net.au@leica-users.org [mailto:lug-bounces+hoppyman=bigpond.net.au@leica-users.org] On Behalf Of grduprey@mchsi.com Sent: Monday, 5 January 2009 13:48 To: Leica Users Group Subject: Re: [Leica] IMG: the new Elmar M 3.8 24mm very first impressions Geoff, Thanks for showing these photos. ?Looks like another killer lens from Solms.
