He was devastated that he had to go to a nursing home for rehab because he wanted to see our local polar bear club do it's annual dip in the Maumee River on New Year's Day. I promised him if he agreed to go to the nursing home I'd get him to the event no matter what. He also has advanced Parkinson's Disease and severe arthritis.
