We happen to like and use their gear to make photographs. I don't expect them like or use my photographs in return (although that would be very nice). I don't think Alastair undertook FOM2 as a Leica sponsored project (sure it would have been nice, perhaps even prudent for them to help out). Nor do I think he's undertaking this Centennial project as anything more than respect for his preferred kit and those of like mind. Neither project seems a "mistake." Both seem well intended; irrespective of Leica's interest in the projects or their interest in we LUGgites.
