I own an M2 which was converted to M2R spec's using all Leica sourced black paint parts. I subsequently had Gerry Smith at Kindermann Canada modify it to accept a TA Rapidwinder in black paint and make it smooth as butter. Looks pretty sharp and as it has no serial number there is no chance that someone will think it original.
