More than a few bucks...

U.S. 1943 cents were generally made of zinc-coated steel and that can be 
tested 
with a magnet.  A very few were copper and those are quite valuable, $100K 
in 
decent condition.  Due to the value, there are probably more forgeries than 
genuine 1943 copper cents.

(2400 years older and worth considerably less than a U.S. 1943 copper cent.)
