Today we went on a tour in a four wheel drive vehicle out of Las Vegas to Red Rock Canyon. Snow fell ever more thickly which was pretty amazing for the desert and Las Vegas. We ended up stuck in a snow drift on an off road track which was rather more amazing. I got out to take photos, of course, while the tour operator extricated our vehicle. The first shot following was in mid snow desert. The next was taken unexpectedly by my M8 as I fell heavily in the ice and snow (my third fall in the snow!). My M8 swung sideways around my neck as I landed and struck the side of my head. Luckily my head cushioned the impact. Presumably the Tom A soft release hit my temple as I landed. Not as bruised as Tina but very nearly as sore. Anyway maybe a LUG worthy story. I'll tell you about other M8 toughness, and UV/IR filter properties another time. <http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/gh/a/usa/LV2.jpg.html> cheers Battered Hoppy of the desert snow drifts.
