Subject: [Leica] To Answer Jeff Moore's Question about Pixels for the LUGYearbook Images

Jim,

In my last Blurb book, I thought soft-proofing with their HP profile worked
out OK. Of course, one has to have a calibrated monitor. Also, I don't
know if I just got lucky - I believe Blurb just sends the job to whatever HP
printer has excess capacity. Not necessarily the one that was profiled. I'm
not sure all this makes a lot of difference with a four-color press, as
opposed to an inkjet printer. Blurb seems to do a good job so long as the
image does not have to be resized upward.

Ken
