Subject: [Leica] IMG - Ukraine visit

Henning: Lots of interest for us! Katya's maternal grandparents lived in
Lviv, and Katya spent extended visits there. Chernivtsi is the home town of
one of my mother-in-law's late friends. So we enjoyed seeing these places
as they are today. Funny to see babushkas in scarves alongside modern
dress, cellphones and laptops. Old times and modern times juxtaposed, and
old-time religion reborn after its long Soviet winter.

I'm sure it was a moving time for Tanya, to see the places of her
forebears, especially her grandfather's farm. Wow.

Thanks for bringing us along. (Now please tell, what were you shooting

Best to you both!
